Saudi Arabia’s GDP is expected to contract by 3.3 percent, and the UAE’s by 3.9 percent.

Oman is the only Gulf country expected to record positive growth this year, at 2.4 percent.

Despite the downturn, the IMF anticipates a significant regional recovery in 2027, assuming the Strait of Hormuz reopens and oil exports resume.
</text><analysis /><region /><search_query /><result_type />
<published_at /><credits>0.0080</credits><parent_id /><referenced_id /><created_at>2026-10-13T03:55:43.030437+00:00</created_at>

<tags><tag>imf</tag><tag>economy</tag><tag>report</tag></tags><media><media_item>

<alt>A view of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) logo at its headquarters in Washington, DC, US, November 24, 2024</alt><media_type /><file /><file_name /><file_ext /><created_at>2026-10-13T03:55:44.555886+00:00</created_at></media_item></media>

<handler>@DryBulkETF</handler><handler_name>BreakWave</handler_name><external_id />
The East continues to lead VLCC freight strength, ...
<text>The East continues to lead VLCC freight strength, with steady enquiry and declining prompt availability keeping owners in control.
