Quickstart Guide#

This guide walks you through setting up an account, navigating the live feeds, capturing web data with the Browser Agent, and running your first AI synthesis workspace in under three minutes.

Step 1: Access the Platform & Explore Public Streams#

Before authenticating, you can explore live incoming signals directly from the public interfaces:

  • Live Feed: Navigate to /feeds to observe real-time, uncurated event streams ingested by background crawlers.

  • Synthesized Search: Go to /#search to run initial entity or keyword lookups. Guests can inspect recent preview events; registered users unlock full historical queries and complete metadata tags.

Step 2: Create an Account & Sign In#

To save custom streams, launch Thematic Chats, and configure the extension:

  1. Click Register in the top navigation bar.

  2. Complete the registration form with your email and password.

  3. Sign in to access your personal dashboard.

Step 3: Install the Gnosly Browser Agent#

The Browser Agent enables direct clipping of dynamic web content from platforms like X, LinkedIn, Webmail, and WhatsApp Web.

  1. Download and install the Gnosly extension from the Chrome Web Store.

  2. Pin the extension icon to your browser toolbar for quick access.

  3. Open the extension popup while logged into Gnosly to complete automatic session synchronization.

Step 4: Create Your First Thematic Chat#

Thematic Chats are dedicated workspaces that isolate specific research contexts.

  1. In the left navigation sidebar of your dashboard, click New Chat / Workspace.

  2. Enter a descriptive title (e.g., Macro Energy & Shipping or Competitor Tracking).

  3. Select which public data streams or feeds this workspace should actively track.

Step 5: Capture Data & Upload Documents#

Add proprietary or web-clipped data directly into your workspace:

  • Via the Browser Agent: Highlight text, a post, or an article in your browser, open the extension, select your workspace from the dropdown, and click Send to Gnosly.

  • Via File Upload: Drag and drop relevant files (PDF reports, CSV datasets, plain-text notes) into the chat upload area.

Step 6: Query and Synthesize#

Once your sources and files are attached, use the chat input to analyze the aggregated data:

  • Generate a Timeline: "Summarize the sequence of events across all attached sources over the last 48 hours."

  • Audit Contradictions: "Compare the official statement in the uploaded PDF with the breaking signals clipped from X."

  • Extract Actionable Points: "List key operational takeaways and affected entities based on the current workspace context."

Step 7: (Optional) Publish as a Public Stream#

If you want to share your findings without granting editing access:

  1. Open the workspace settings inside your Thematic Chat.

  2. Toggle Public Stream Mode to Enabled.

  3. Copy the generated read-only URL and share it with collaborators, clients, or readers. Guests can read the logs and view references without consuming your query credits.
